Baisakhi Celebration

Title : Prince Public School, Budh Vihar celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with fervour and gaiety.

The harvest festival was celebrated to acquaint the students with our cultural heritage. Students from the pre primary department came decked up in beautiful attires to suit the occasion. Students from the middle section versed everyone with the reason why this festival is celebrated.

April 13 is also remembered as the darkest day in the Indian history. On this day in the year 1919, Jallianwala Massacre or Amristsar Massacre took place. To pay homage to all the people who lost their lives in the massacre, a play was presented by the students. The play gave goosebumps to everyone who witnessed General Reginald Dyer ordering his troops to open fire at the people, who were peacefully protesting at the Jallianwala Bagh.

To uplift the mood of the students and make them enthusiastic, the programme concluded with a Bhangra performance by the students followed by 'Fitness ka dose, aadha ghanta roz' where all the students and teachers did Bhangra on the beats of dhol.
